Siuosamoa's Special Blessing Day!

There's a certain Spirit in the air when you attend a Fast & Testimony meeting when a baby is going to be blessed....I was the proud recipient of just that today....I want to express my love and appreciation to my Heavenly Father for sending Siu to our family and also to Siu for choosing us as his earthly family...As the blessing was pronounced upon him by my wonderful brother-in-law Marky...MA...(thank you from the bottom of our hearts) there was a very strong spirit that was felt, pure inspiration, and I was very emotional...beautiful blessings were given him...the strength to overcome what lies ahead for him, it was not by chance that he was born at this particular time, the unconditional love of the Saviour was pronounced upon him, the remembrance of his namesake Siu was also said..so many wonderful blessings were wrought...and I will jot them down in my personal journal for him to read one day....I'm just so thankful to have the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life as well as my family's life and my testimony has been strengthened once again on this beautiful Sabbath Day... What a blessing it is to have the proper Priesthood Authority again on this earth to perform the necessary ordinances pertaining to the Kingdom of God...The After-Party is always a FUN time with close family and friends...and all I have to say is that we ate good today....thanks to all those that helped with the yummy food...and to Lei and Liz that provided our dessert....Guava cake and Strawberry/Vanilla Trifle and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip bars...I was fed Spiritually and Physically...May you all have a blessed night...God lives is my testimony to you all....Goodnite...Always, Katharine

This Day came Waaaaay Too Soon...

My official evening back to work.....and feeling BLUE,to be honest I'm really sad this time around..I've given birth 2 other times besides this one and I don't remember feeling this down and out to return to work.I've really enjoyed the time at home with my children and we had a routine going, especially because my husband had to get a 2nd job,so it was an adjustment for me to pretty much take on everything, and I wasn't used to that (I know, call me spoiled) no but really, prior to hubby having to work a 2nd job he was around more and pretty much helped out 50% of the time..so it has been a good awakening for me and learning experience on how much work is involved at being a Stay-at-Home mom,I have to say, I've been on my knees alot more, just asking for the strength and knowledge I need to raise my children. Hands down..it is the hardest job around, but at the same time the most rewarding...and I take my hat off to every woman who's occupation is just that...It was really hard for me to leave tonite, but I made my rounds and kissed all my children..once,twice...a hug here,a hug there..Only Kingston and baby Siu were up, Zion was still taking a nap...so I gently kissed him on his forehead...I almost couldn't look at Siu,because I was getting all teary eyed just leaving him..I know, it's only for a few hours..but there's something that happens when you spend a considerable time, quality time with your kids...well with me, 2 weeks prior to knowing that I was scheduled to come back on the 17th, I was already contemplating quitting, and etc. etc. etc..but I tell ya, in this particular time of our country's distress...with our conutry being at war, going through one of the worst economical times since the depression, we really had no other option right now..so as much as I want to just cry and stay home,it's just feasable for our little family at this time...but hey, maybe one day..never say never...well, on the other hand I'm still very grateful for the job that I still have, going on 14 years, I've been blessed regardless..I guess it's my little ole' heart that has been affected by my lil' ones..and not wanting to be away from them for too long...well, I shall go on my NOT so merry way and know that it'll all work out,and trust that it's the best decision for my children to stay employed at the moment...plus my poor hubby had to get a 2nd job,so I'm okay taking a little of the weight off of his shoulders...it's just crazy..we're just barely making ends meet (and we are pretty conservative)or in other words,we don't fit in the 'living lavishiously' lifestyle category...I'm just thankful that we're all still alive and healthy, have a roof over our heads and forever striving to Do What's Right...Alrighty, I feel alot better...I better get back to work (hee hee) my flight was late coming in,but it's due to land in about 10-15 minutes...Goodnite my dear family and friends and May you all have a Blessed Evening......by the way, I hope my hubby is surviving right now, mostly with baby...hey he's had to do it with 2 what's 1 more...LOL!love you hon...Okay Goodnite to all my friends and family and may you all have a Blessed Night! Dedicated to my Sister Elizabeth..

My Beautiful sister Elizabeth and hubby Marky with her 5 Miracle's!!!

CANCER SURVIVOR In 1994 my dear sister Elizabeth at the young age of 22 years old was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. A true Breast Cancer Survivor, with her pure Faith in God she is still with us today. She eventually had her breast removed and has been in remission since. She was told by doctors at the time that she would not be able to bear children, yet has now borne 5 healthy children.Anessa, Alema, Tai,Teancum and Abi. As her older sister, I look up to her like no other...at the time of the terrible news, I remember crying wondering to myself why couldn't it have been ME instead of LIZ....All my life growing up knowing her, she was never one to get in any kind of trouble, she was very obedient to our parents and she could never do anyone wrong, even if she tried...so as we were told that she may only have a year or even a few months to live,I can't tell you how scared I felt at that time and sad, being that she was sooo young, was just recently engaged to marry her current husband Marky,I truly wanted to switch places with her..I know she credits her survival from a very special distinct blessing that was given her from our grandfather Iohani and what she has shared with us is that immediately following the blessing that was given her,she had complete Faith that she would be healed from this awful cancer..I admire her for her pure Integrity and her willingness to always be there for me regardless of her own circumstances or what she may have been going through and as I've watched the news and read different articles that have highlighted and reminded women all over the world about October being Breast Cancer Awareness month I had to dedicate a special Blog to one in our own immediate family that has conquered this terrible cancer....my Sweet Loving sister...Elizabeth Fatai... I thank my Heavenly Father for sparing her life that she is still with us and has been one of the greatest blessings in so many ways...her devotion to her family, her church, her God is a strength to me personally and as I see how she handles herself with her so called Handicap (one breast) it amazes me how she remains humble and greatful that she is still living and was able to bear 5 Healthy children...3 girls and 2 boys...may you continue to live a long, healthy and prosperous life sis....you will always be an example to me of someone who could've gave up but instead perservered through the many surgeries and I'm sure personal questions and trials that you had to have been going through as a young woman at the time,I could only imagine ...but now I see how the Lord has blessed you and your ever growing family...and you still have never forgotten the Lord in your life...You represent all of the above...HOPE,FAITH,LOVE,COURAGE and STRENGTH...I love you Sis...and for all my sisters and friends out there.....GO GET YOUR MAMMOGRAM!!!!Early Detection is KEY!!

Echoing the words of my dear friend Lyla.......I've had a few rough weeks and as I've caught up in reading all my friends and fam's blogs, this one hit close to home.....It's funny how TIME can really heal a person's soul.....with a lot of help from my sisters....THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.....I'm becoming a true believer in not necessarily sharing negative thoughts as much as good.inspirational thoughts...after reading my sister Jen's blog about letting Bad Apples fall where they may...I'm trying to find more creative ways to Vent my fustrations. I've decided to apply it to my everyday life and just in the short time I've noticed a major difference in how my day turns out, especially how my family reacts and mostly how peaceful I feel inside.....So, as I've been away from blogging for a while, I couldn't think of a better way to get back in to it than sharing with you all how thankful I am for the Trials in my life...there are way less trials than not and I'd like to mention a few things that I'm so Grateful for......

My Heavenly Father and Saviour Jesus Christ who have always been there for me..Always...and has had Never-Ending Mercy on my lil' soul.

My Precious lil' Boys..Kingston, Zion and SiuoSamoa..who bring so much JOY and PURPOSE into my life.

My loving family...All 17 of them plus Mom n Pops and of course my extended Wolfgramm and Tavo familia...my sisters especially who I can always count on to be there for me.

My Dear Sweet Friends... Carol T, Sarah T, Deb H, Lyla N, Vonda H, Alyssa T, Rhona P..all of you who have ever entered my life or crossed my path, I'm thankful for your friendships..

Having been born into the Only True Gospel on this Earth..The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...What a Blessing the gospel has been in my life..

Temples...how grateful I am for these special, sacred places where my soul can seek refuge and rest from the weary's of the world...

My Ward family of the Westland 10th Ward...All the Service that has been rendered to me and my family ever since we moved here 6 yrs ago..has truly been a strength and testimony builder to me on many levels..

The fact that I'm still Alive and Well, considering all the terrible choices I've made in my short life...

For this Beautiful Earth I live on and the blessing of Freedom living in the United States of America....mostly to those men and woman who fight for my freedom in the Military..Thank You

For all the little things...a good working car, a warm house to call home, a job to feed my family, food, clothing, microwave, dishwasher, TV, my laptop, good books to read, music (can't live without), beautiful flowers and trees, oceans, lakes, animals, of course the Sun and Moon that give is warmth and light, stars (dreams are endless), my Tongan heritage, water....the list is infinite.....

Last but not least, I'm grateful for my husband Eli...who I truly believe was sent here to teach me how to be... Long-Suffering, Patient, Enduring to the End, Humble, to be a better Cook and most of all how to Love Unconditionally.........

Malo Aupito,
Kat

It's been exactly 2 weeks from today since our new addition to our family arrived..to be exact he was born on Aug 4th at 1:04pm, weighing in at 7lbs 14 oz and 19 inches tall....my heaviest baby thus far but my shortest baby.....words cannot explain the JOY after seeing his face for the first time...Eli and I definitely couldn't hold back the tears, it's as if it was the first time again...For all you parents out there, I'm sure you can agree! Just in these past 2 weeks, I've been quite busy, getting used to baby's hours, tending to my other 2 boys and at the same time trying to take care of myself..being that it was a C-section, I've been having to tend to my stitches and making sure that I don't over-exert myself etc....so hence the reason for not blogging in a while...but I woke up this morning and felt a bit of calmness and feel a whole lot better physically, I decided to BLOG a bit and introduce you all to our 3rd blessing....His full name is Si'uoSamoa Elijah Jr. Wilson..he is named after Eli's only brother and of course his middle name is after his proud papa!! So this is our first child that actually has a Samoan name and after a family member, so it's a good thing, plus we all love Uncle Si'u...we've been kinda calling him by the nickname Spud...and also Si'u..so we'll see what sticks....Uncle Si'u was an avid basketball player in his younger days and I was told that him and all his friends went by nicknames, usually an NBA player, so Uncle Si'u's nickname was Spud...after the Basketball player Spud Webb! So that's kinda how we got that nickname....well here's a variety of pictures of our newest lil' angel...I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing us with yet another beautiful, healthy lil' boy.....Thank You!
